✅ Atalanta - Manchester United [Champions League]

Match starts: Tuesday, 02.11.2021 at 21:00 (GMT+1)

A very interesting matchup between Atalanta and Manchester United which is extremely important for both teams and for the outcome of group F in general. Both teams have been quite inconsistant this season and have a lot of room for improvement with not that much time left. If things go as expected, it should be raining goals in Italy.

Atalanta is currently 4th in Serie A, but they're already 12 points behind leaders Napoli. Even though they have just 2 defeats, they dropped a lot of points taking a draw in 4 matches. Their form isn't bad, but it isn't really that great either. They're known as a team that usually produces matches with a lot of goals and offers fans interesting and very open matches. In Serie A, they average 3.1 goals per match and betting over is always a valid option when they're playing. Out of 14 official matches they played this season, both teams scored in a whopping 11 matches and there was at least 3 goals scored in 10 of those matches. I believe this match will have a similar result, especially playing against Manchester United, who also produce a lot of goals per match. Atalanta's top scorer is Duvan Zapata with 6 goals in 12 matches throughout all competitions this year, behind him comes Josip Iličić with 3 goals. Their defense is nowhere close to solid, but they make up for it with their strenght and effectiveness in attack

Missing players: R. Gosens (injury), H. Hateboer (injury), M. Pessina (injury), R. Toloi (injury)

Manchester United, on the other side, is in a pretty similar situation. They are currently 5th in the Premier League and are 8 points behind Chelsea. They have shown very inconsistant performances this season and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is struggling to keep up with the expectations and pressure that are surrounding the squad. United has shown that they can be extremely dangerous in attack, but their defense has been looking very poor for quite some time now. In the Premier League they average 3.3 goals per match, with Liverpool being the only club that averages more (3.8 goals per match). Cristiano Ronaldo is in superb scoring form in the Champions League (what a shock, right?), netting 3 goals in 3 matches played. Two of those goals were late-game winners and it's safe to say that United would be in a much worse position without him. It does seem like there are some ongoing issues within the squad, either between the players or with the manager. With the kind of players that they have, you would expect them to show much better performances and some consistancy, at least. To be fair, Solskjaer has made some very questionable decisions regarding line-ups, substitutions and the general tactics in the past and many fans are wondering if he should've already been sacked.

Missing players: V. Lindelof (injury)

I believe we will see a very close and even match between Atalanta and Manchester United with many goals scored. Neither of the teams will be missing any forwards, so all of the attacking options will be available to them. Their defenses are just not good enough at the moment to not allow the other team's attackers to score, quite probably even multiple times. Odds of 2.50 are just great for this kind of pick and I think we could easily see 5 or 6 goals scored here.

Best of luck!
